The rebranding is being announced in conjunction with major enhancements in the capabilities of the IT automation software.

As Software & Management Associates (SMA) enters its fourth decade, the company has announced the rebranding of its flagship IT automation software product from OpCon/xps to OpConX5.  The product will now generally be referred to as OpCon. The rebranding is being announced in conjunction with major enhancements in the capabilities of OpCon. These include:

The EM delivers unprecedented convenience enabling users to discover their own most efficient work methods.

IBM i LSAM Message Management

SMA’s agent (LSAM = local schedule activity monitor) is always being enhanced and expanded, extending the power of OpCpon into the full range of capabilities supported by the IBM i operating system. • Condition unlimited message response commands with comparisons to message content, to LSAM variables or to any text string
  • Qualify message response by generic job names, generic or specific user IDs, generic message ranges
  • Qualify message response by an array of date and time windows or limits
  • Qualify message response by thresholds (numbers of incidents), including threshold expiration date/time
