The latest versions offer full double-byte character set (DBCS) support.
Bytware has announced the release of the Japanese version of its popular message management and alerting products for Power Systems running IBM i, MessengerPlus and MessengerConsole. The Japanese version of these products offers full double-byte character set (DBCS) support. Bytware developed the products in recognition of the global nature of today’s computing environments.
The Messenger products offer around-the-clock system monitoring; automated message handling, including escalation and reply management; and e-mail, text, or pager notification. MessengerPlus is designed for single-system monitoring, while MessengerConsole adds centralized control for multiple servers and partitions. All features of the Messenger products are fully supported in the Japanese version.
Bytware’s Tokyo-based partner, SOLPAC, assisted with translation and testing. The Messenger products now are available in English, Japanese, and German.
The Messenger products are the second set of software tools for which Bytware has released with a Japanese-language interface. In 2008, Bytware released a Japanese version of StandGuard Anti-Virus (for IBM i and Domino servers).
Bytware offers native anti-virus, network monitoring, and consoling solutions for IBM Power Systems servers. For more information, visit our Web site at www.bytware.com, or contact Heather Beck at 775-851-2900 or
