IBM i Performance Optimization Software and Services

MB Software & Consulting, Inc. celebrates 25 years of providing application performance optimization software and consulting services for the IBM i (iSeries, AS/400) platform. In 1995 Michael Boadway, Owner/President, seeing a need for an extensive root-cause analysis tool-set for the IBM i, created a comprehensive suite of tools to provide application performance improvement and systems optimization while also providing specialized consulting services to IBM i midrange systems customers. The software and services identify root causes of issues and ultimately repair issues to keep businesses running smoothly and efficiently.

Initially launched as a green-screen application for performance tuning and application monitoring, the Workload Performance Series® software has gone through many iterations over the years. It has evolved into a modernized cloud-based SaaS customer portal while maintaining support for those who prefer to use the green-screen. Regardless of how customers access the tools MB Software continues to provide comprehensive systems analysis, support and services.

Over the past 25 years MB Software has established a reputation as an authority on application performance tuning, and as a unique consulting service organization. Their reputation for customer-value focused products and services had grown, including clients hailing from across the globe.

The Workload Performance Series software suite provides customers with unique visibility into application and workload performance issues. MB Software presents their customers with visibility into software, job stream and database improvement opportunities that are orders of magnitude less costly than many capital intensive hardware upgrades.

MB Software ensures customer satisfaction by being able to:

  • Exceed IT Service Deliverables
  • Guarantee a 200% ROI
  • Minimize Total Cost of Ownership
  • Solve Root Causes
  • Eliminate Processing Bottlenecks
  • Avoid Unnecessary Upgrades

Additionally, their pricing model has also evolved to include traditional software licensing as well as newer, more flexible options such as a monthly software subscription, software leasing and a monthly services subscription. These allow customers to choose what best fits their needs and budget. All of the software and services options include, at minimum, monthly GoToMeeting training and consulting sessions and full access to all green-screen tools, cloud-based Customer Portal, and our newest software, commands and API bundle.
