Includes space for anticipated late-breaking IBM i announcements

System i Developer today opens registration for the RPG & DB2 Summit, leaving room in the agenda to add several new sessions to cover anticipated IBM i, RPG and DB2 announcements as well as other new topics. Scheduled for March 20-22, 2018 at the Embassy Suites in Dallas, TX. the RPG & DB2 Summit focuses on modern tips and techniques that can be used immediately by IBM i developers and database engineers to improve their applications.

New sessions will range from strategic, such as Overcoming the Legacy Label, to a heavy concentration of technical. For example, IBM representatives Barbara Morris (lead developer for the RPG Compiler), Scott Forstie (Db2 for i Business Architect responsible for SQL), and several members of the Db2 for i Lab Services team will be on hand to discuss the technical details of the latest IBM announcements from an IBM i developer’s perspective.

In addition, the optional hands-on workshop day on Monday, March 19, 2018 will feature a new 8-hour Python training session with Mike Pavlak. Other 8-hour workshop topics include RSE/RDi with Susan Gantner, SQL for RPG Programmers with Paul Tuohy, and Procedures & Service Programs with Jon Paris.

Online registration for the RPG & DB2 Summit can be accessed via the System i Developer website. The early bird registration rate of $1,295 is in effect through February 16, 2018. RPG & DB2 Summit alumni and their colleagues receive a $100 discount when they register using their alumni ID.
