EXTOL International, a leading provider of B2B and business integration solutions for mid-sized organizations, has announced that the EXTOL Enterprise Adapter Version 1.1 has passed the testing and certification requirements established by SAP AG, and has been granted "Certified for SAP Net Weaver" status.

The SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC) has certified that EXTOL Enterprise Adapter 1.1 properly integrates with the SAP ERP application Release 5.0 via the EDI subsystems 4.0 (CA-EDI) interface. Using the newly certified modules, EXTOL customers can rapidly establish collaborations between external customers or suppliers, applications from vendors other than SAP, internal business processes, and the SAP NetWeaver platform, to exchange critical data with instances of the SAP Business Suite family of applications.

"Many of our customers are IT-resource constrained, and find it difficult to keep pace with changing business requirements," said Jim O'Leary, vice president, Product Management, for EXTOL. "The EXTOL Enterprise Adapter enables even small IT teams, with their existing skills, to integrate their SAP solutions rapidly with external customer, supplier, and other partner interfaces, as well as tie-in legacy systems and applications supporting end users."

Some organizations taking advantage of the EXTOL Enterprise Adapter integrated with SAP solutions are Ateeco, Inc., Brady Corporation, Giorgio Foods, Inc., JohnsonDiversey, Nycomed and Pressman Toy.

EXTOL Enterprise Adapter is a common EXTOL product interface used to connect SAP business processes with external transactions, services, and file interfaces, as well as third-party and internally developed applications, services, and data. The EXTOL Enterprise Adapter is supported both by EXTOL Business Integrator, a portable, general-purpose integration broker, and by EXTOL EDI Integrator, an EDI integration application optimized for the IBM "i" platform. These EXTOL solutions enable customers to automate multi-enterprise business processes, including order-to-cash, supply chain visibility, demand-driven replenishment, and partner-proprietary collaborations, based on connections implemented using EDI, XML, spreadsheets, proprietary flat files, and other data formats.
