Watson Analytics and Cognos Analytics on Cloud, a combined offering, provides authorized user access to both Watson Analytics Professional and Cognos Analytics on Cloud hosted services on IBM SoftLayer®. Instead of buying and managing subscriptions of two separate cloud offerings independently for their users, organizations can easily buy this bundled offering to quickly explore, visualize, and analyze data for their business needs.

Watson Analytics Professional

Watson Analytics Professional is a smart data analysis and visualization service on the cloud that helps organizations become cognitive businesses. Guided data exploration, automated predictive analytics, and cognitive capabilities, such as natural language dialogue, allow users to interact with data conversationally, and with reason and purpose, to get answers in ways they can easily understand.

Cognos Analytics on Cloud, hosted on Softlayer, enhances the performance and capabilities of business users, report authors, and administrators alike through simplification of its functionality and time to value. Managed exclusively by IBM and delivered as software as a service (SaaS), the solution exposes more capabilities to users, and reduces or eliminates IT intervention for many previous tasks to enable more self-service to users, and ultimately advances the analytic expertise of the enterprise. In the past, users might utilize a range of different tools to accomplish similar goals. They can now capture insights more efficiently through a guided experience that interprets their intent and supports a path, leading where they want to go.
