IBM's latest release of i5/OS will be available March 21, and Raz-Lee Security has been working to make its products compatible with V6R1, according to Eli Spitz, vice president of Business Development.
All Raz-Lee security products have now been converted and tested at IBM's Innovation Center for Business Partners and are compatible with V6R1, says Spitz. The products will soon be available for download from the company's Web site, he said.
Customers running V6R1 will need to download the V6R1-compatible product install file, which, Spitz says, will also execute correctly on all V5 releases. Customers under maintenance with Raz-Lee may upgrade to V6R1 compatible versions at no cost. Others may renew their maintenance agreements through their local Raz-Lee distributors.
Raz-Lee representatives will be at COMMON in Nashville March 30 demonstrating the company's new security products--Capture, AP-Journal, and View--in booth #621. Users who stop by the booth will be briefed on the company's new products as well as iSecurity's new GUI and compliance features.
Spitz reported on positive feedback from Dun and Bradstreet (Singapore) Pte Ltd., which purchased iSecurity at the end of 2007 to replace a competing product. The head of the company's IT department successfully implemented iSecurity with very little assistance from Raz-Lee's technical staff, Spitz said. While Raz-Lee Firewall ran in simulation mode, the company identified a number of hacking attempts on the system that would have gone unnoticed without iSecurity.
About the product, the IT department head said: "Having worked with the product (iSecurity) more extensively, I can well recommend this as a best of breed security tool."
Spitz says Raz-Lee is always interested in hearing from users of its products about how well they work, and comments may be sent to
