Townsend Security, the encryption company, today announced Alliance Key Manager for Amazon Web Services (AWS) is available in AWS Marketplace. The solution helps organizations add additional layers of protection to their data.
Deployed as an AMI from AWS Marketplace, Alliance Key Manager relies on the same FIPS 140-2 compliant technology as the company's flagship Alliance Key Manager HSM that is in use by thousands of customers worldwide. Alliance Key Manager can help business leaders meet industry standards and best practices for encrypting their sensitive data and business applications with an easy to deploy virtual appliance in the cloud.
With this new solution, Townsend Security continues their initiative of bringing easy to use, affordable data security solutions to the market. In addition, Alliance Key Manager for AWS is Townsend Security's most affordable option to date.
"When Alliance Key Manager for AWS is launched for the first time, it will automatically generate a certificate authority, client-side credentials, and create encryption keys that you can immediately use with SQL Server, Oracle, SharePoint, MySQL, and other applications you run on Amazon Web Services," commented Patrick Townsend, CEO of Townsend Security.
"We are happy that Townsend Security is bringing their Alliance Key Manager to AWS Marketplace," said Barry Russell, Head of Business Development for AWS Marketplace, Amazon Web Services, Inc. "Data encryption is a key component to securing data and options like this provide an easy option for customers to do so."
Available at no extra charge, Townsend Security includes ready-to-use security applications (SQL Server, Drupal, more), SDKs, and sample code (Java, C#, IBM i, more) for developers. Additionally, there are never extra fees for deploying client-side applications. (AWS infrastructure charges apply.)
