Q: We have migrated a S/36 application to our AS/400 and are running it in S/36 Environment. The S/36 procedures that use the read-under-format (RUF) technique won't run. The RPG program that reads the data from the prompt screen bombs. Can you suggest a solution?
A: All you need to do is change the display file used in the PROMPT OCL statement to use a shared open data path. Use the Change Display File (CHGDSPF) command with a SHARE parameter value of *YES.
