I am trying to use the new DDS window keywords. The program works, displays the window OK, but clears the screen before displaying the window. As there is no documentation provided for these keywords, I am asking for some help.

Michael, if this window is in another program then you need to have another format in the display used by the called program that contains the ASSUME keyword. This tells the system to assume that this display file is already there, even though it isn't. You need this because the default for the AS/400 is to clear the screen when you open a new display file. The format that contains this keyword does not have to be used in your program; you just need it in the display file. Also consider using the KEEP keyword in the record that is displayed by the called program. This will prevent the screen from flickering when the called program is ended and the underlying panel is redisplayed.
