IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Suite for Unified Recovery V7.1.2 delivers advanced hardware snapshot backup and restore capabilities.

 

IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Suite for Unified Recovery V7.1.2 now includes application integrated hardware snapshot capabilities that enable improved application availability and service levels through high-performance, near-instant restore capabilities that reduce downtime.

 

IBM Tivoli Storage FlashCopy Manager V4.1.2 hardware snapshot-based data protection is added to the following:

  • IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Suite for Unified Recovery V7.1.2
  • IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Suite for Unified Recovery Entry V7.1.2
  • IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Suite for Unified Recovery - Front End V7.1.2
  • IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Suite for Unified Recovery Entry - Front End V7.1.2

 

IBM Tivoli Storage FlashCopy Manager V4.1.2 improves application availability with the addition of General Parallel File System (GPFS) support for near-instant file set level snapshots, in addition to usability improvements and currency enhancements.

 

IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for Virtual Environments and IBM FlashCopy Manager provide support for VMware vSphere 6 environments, excluding the ability to protect virtual machines located on VMware Virtual Volumes.

 

IBM Tivoli Storage Manager FastBack, IBM Tivoli Storage Manager FastBack for Bare Machine Recovery, and IBM Tivoli Storage Manager FastBack for Microsoft Exchange are no longer included in IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Suite for Unified Recovery.
