Last week Computer Keyes released its newest software package, kLink, which provides companies with all the necessary tools to manage and host a secure content delivery service on their IBM i. Much like online banking, kLink allows users to register their own online account and log in to retrieve private documents that have been made available to them on the host company’s Integrated File System (IFS).

kLink comes with two separate servers, one for employees and one for customers. Either or both servers can utilize a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) for added security. Employees are able to log in using their IBM i username and password to view the IFS with the same authority as at their workstation. For security, customers will be isolated within a specified directory in the IFS and only shown private content that has been placed in their individual customer folders, or public content that has been placed in folders designated as public. In this way, users are able to retrieve documents such as invoices and product manuals directly on any device with an Internet browser.

Computer Keyes was established in 1978, and is a leader in Document Distribution software for IBM i. They provide fax and email solutions, archiving software, and tools for creating full color PDF's with overlays directly on the IBM i. Computer Keyes offers a 30 day free trial period on all of its software, allowing you to try out each of its complete packages before making any decisions. You may download the software and manuals directly from www.ckeyes.com. Also, Computer Keyes provides free hot-line technical support for as long as you license a product.
