Asigra Cloud Backup v12.2 gives service providers the ability to extend their backup solution to automatically protect Google Apps data as part of an operation's end-to-end backup capabilities. With Google Apps data recovery integrated as part of the data protection capabilities across physical, virtual and cloud environments, companies maintain access to important business information stored in the cloud. All email, calendars, contacts, documents, and site-based data is recoverable in the event of data loss, with both local and remote recovery available. Version 12.2 ensures that Google Apps-based user data is no longer outside of the data protection perimeter.

With the Asigra Recovery License Model, pricing is based on the percentage of data recovered over a 12-month period (every 6 months in the first year). Service providers who deploy the software under this model can anticipate immediate savings of 40% and long term savings up to 70% as a result of separating backup and recovery license costs. A waiver is provided for the single largest recovery event in any licensing term and only successful recoveries are included in the calculations. The pricing option has been praised by analysts as a strong solution differentiator for service providers. "Changes are occurring rapidly in the backup industry, including marked increases in data volumes and growing demands for operational efficiency.
