Fresche Legacy, a leading provider of legacy management and modernization solutions for the IBM i platform, announced today that it is expanding the functionality of the entry level version of its industry-leading application documentation and analysis tool, X-Analysis. Automated Data Model extraction from RPG and COBOL – a key feature set previously available only in the product’s Enterprise Edition – is now available in the X-Analysis Professional Edition. This exciting new release is now available to existing customers and to Hawkeye users as a free upgrade.

A fairly consistent trend also showed that companies using the Hawkeye product had an urgent need for a modern graphical interface for application analysis and cross-referencing capabilities. As such, Fresche is making X-Analysis available to Hawkeye users through a free upgrade. Beyond this, X-Analysis has a breadth and depth of functionality far exceeding Hawkeye that significantly improves maintenance and support of RPG, COBOL and CA 2E (Synon) applications. It also better positions companies to modernize their applications to take advantage of all features and capabilities of the platform.
