Q: We recently upgraded our AS/400 from V4R5 to V5R2. Ever since we did the upgrade, we have been getting the following messages:
1. "Operating System 400 grace period will expire in xx days." This has been seen in the system operator's message queue.
2. "CWBLM0003 - Warning, license granted, however the number of available licenses for iSeries Access has been exceeded." This message has been popping up when you first log on to Client Access.
Any ideas how to fix these?
A: These are license messages. They have to do with applying the keys for your licensed products.
As part of your upgrade, you should have gotten a black and red (or black and pink, I guess) diagonal-striped folder with the words "DO NOT DESTROY. License Information" written on it in about 16 languages. Inside this folder are your licenses for your licensed products, including OS/400. You need to read the instructions on each sheet to apply the license (it's just running the ADDLICKEY command).
If you don't have that folder, contact your Business Partner immediately, because you only have 70 days from the time you installed OS/400 to get those keys applied.
