Q. We recently changed a remote printer to operate under PC Support. The problem is the printer control messages. Even though we set up the messages to go to the remote operators, the DEVD is always changing back to QSYSOPR message queue. Any suggestions on how and why this is happening and how I can change it permanently?

A. Check your PC Support, Work Station Function printer session configuration. On the Printer options pull-down menu there is an option for Host printer options. There you'll find the message queue and message queue library values that are being used (the default message queue is QSYSOPR and the default library is *LIBL). Just change these to the library/message queue of your choice.
