Many AS/400 shops access IBMLink through AS/400 terminals or PCs acting as terminals. One of the great frustrations of using IBMLink comes when you use the PAGE or ROLL keys on your terminal and don't get a paging response.
It turns out that when you are connected to IBMLink, your terminal is emulating a 3270 terminal. Since the IBMLink choice for "backward" is the F7 key, and "forward" is the F8 key, you need to equate your PAGE or ROLL keys to those keys. You can do that with the CHGCMDDFT (Change Command Default) command, as shown in 1. This changes your emulated keyboard so that pressing a PAGE key sends the equivalent of an F7 or F8 key to the host.

Once in IBMLink (with the WRKPRDINF command), I found that the F7 and F8 keys still responded, in addition to my newly enabled PAGE keys.
