I read with interest Ted May's entry in the April 1992 TechTalk, where he describes a method to copy spool file data into a source member-using QUSRTOOL command CPY-SPLTXT. There is an alternative method for doing this. In SEU, edit the text source member and press F15 (Browse/Copy Options). This allows you to copy from a spool file into your source member. 1 shows the panel which appears.

Enter an Option 2 (copy from spool file) and key in the spool file identification (name, job, user, job number, and spool number), as shown in my example.

Once the spool file information is in the source member, it can be used in OfficeVision Word Processing or another program. Also note that this option allows the user to view an output queue, which is helpful in obtaining the job identification of the spool file to be copied.
