For anyone whose backed up data couldn't be restored when needed, Servergraph Professional offers assurance that you will not suffer that experience—ever again.

Servergraph Professional is an agentless Web-based backup reporting, alerting, and monitoring tool that identifies—and even prevents—missed backups while it finds wasted space, boosts performance, and improves the reliability of backup servers. It also can create compliance reports and, optionally, charge-back reports showing the relative costs of storage and data protection services. Servergraph identifies storage and backup problems before they affect operations.

Developer's Take

"Servergraph Professional 6.2 represents the next generation in business intelligence reporting for backups. It is the first offering of its kind for companies interested in business intelligence capabilities aimed at their backup environment."

–Don Becker, Rocket Software Business Area Executive for Servergraph products

Functions

Servergraph uses graphing and drill-down capabilities to provide a clear picture of the entire backup environment. It provides senior management with the detail and visibility needed to ensure the enterprise is meeting its data protection objectives.

Features

Reports and alerts on every aspect of the backup operation, such as daily backup jobs, disk array performance, network and server processor performance, and even user-defined data types. Compare and contrast different types of data, such as the interaction of network versus tape speeds, client delay versus network delay, or storage pool utilization versus migration. Filter out clutter to show relevant issues. Compliance reports ensure compliance on demand and allow for certifying that data protection services are meeting business objectives.

Platforms

A single interface into one or many backup applications, Servergraph runs on IBM AIX, Red Hat or Suse Linux, and Oracle (Sun) Solaris.

System Requirements

Interfaces with numerous major enterprise backup applications, including IBM Tivoli Storage Manager, Symantec Netbackup, and EMC Avamar running on any operating systems. System requirements will vary depending on the operating system, size of environment, and backup applications being monitored.

Other

Automatically detects device failures and other events, such as migration failures, tape drive errors, and library errors. Uses historical data trends to predict when vital resources will fill up. Alerts via pager, email, or cell phone, and supports major ticketing applications and enterprise consoles via SNMP.
