Q: The user profiles I migrated from a V2R3 system have not been able to sign on to the LAN Server/400 domain. Why is this, and what can I do?

A: When a user profile is denied on the LAN Server/400 domain, it was restored from a pre-V3R1 system or from a save of user profiles. When this is the case, the user profiles are downloaded to the domain. However, they may be in a denied status because the user password could not be downloaded. Fortunately, these profiles will automatically change to active when the user signs on to the AS/400 system, because this will trigger the download of the user's password.
