Skybot Software today announced that its workload automation solution, Skybot Scheduler 3.1, has achieved SAP-certified integration with the SAP NetWeaver technology platform. With this integration, Skybot Scheduler emerges as a powerful, yet affordable job scheduling option for customers using the solution together with SAP solutions who wish to automate business and IT processes from a central interface.
The SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC) has certified Skybot Scheduler 3.1 via the background processing, job scheduling system (BC-XBP) 6.10 interface scenario.
“We are delighted to announce Skybot Scheduler’s certified integration with SAP NetWeaver,” said Matt Bresnan, Director of Research and Development at Help/Systems, the parent company of Skybot Software. “This represents a huge milestone in the development of Skybot Scheduler.”
Skybot Scheduler 3.1 lets users include SAP solution-based jobs, events and variant changes in their enterprise job stream. For example, a job on a UNIX system could run automatically after an SAP job is completed or an SAP event is raised. Skybot Scheduler can even reschedule intercepted SAP jobs.
By scheduling SAP processes within Skybot Scheduler, operators have a unified automation solution that increases efficiency, reduces workload, and eliminates errors.
“Skybot Scheduler’s integration with SAP NetWeaver is consistent with our long-term goal of providing a fast, easy-to-use, cost-competitive solution for enterprise scheduling automation,” added Bresnan.
Since introducing Skybot Scheduler in September 2010, Skybot Software has released 15 version enhancements, including three major product updates.
