Linoma Software, the author of the secure managed file transfer and data encryption suite GoAnywhere, announces its recent award of a General Services Administration - Schedule 70 contract. GSA contracts are awarded to American businesses to streamline the selection and purchase process of products for federal and state governments.
"In a culture where data must be protected, we are pleased to provide our ETL and secure file transfer software as a preferred GSA Schedule 70 contractor," said Bob Luebbe, Linoma Software's Chief Architect. "The GoAnywhere products will not only protect data related to national security, but also help government agencies process data more efficiently and securely."
GSA contract holders supply products to federal, state and local government agencies at contracted rates below market value. This list of preferred vendors allows the government to purchase what they need while making the best use of taxpayer-funded resources.
Not every company that applies for a GSA Schedule Contract wins an award. The GSA investigates many aspects during the award process including past performance, product capabilities, ongoing support, and financial stability.
"The application process requires planning, research, and coordination across business units," says Dirk Zwart, Director of Technology Alliances. "We were able to complete the process in what I would consider record time."
This contract includes all three products in the GoAnywhere Managed File Transfer Suite.
GoAnywhere Director automates and secures data exchange with the ability to perform multi-step workflows using secure FTP, FTPS, SFTP, SCP, HTTP, HTTPS, AS2, SMB, MQ and SMTP. It also encrypts and compresses files using popular Open PGP encryption, GPG, ZIP, GZIP and TAR standards.
GoAnywhere Services is a secure file and Web server. As an on-premise secure file hosting solution, it includes an enterprise SFTP Server, FTPS Server and FTP Server with extensive management controls and audit log reporting. The secure HTTPS Web server provides secure file access and secure file and message delivery via email through any browser.
GoAnywhere Gateway is a reverse and forward proxy that protects government server identities, user passwords and provides the backbone for load balancing and server clustering that ensures optimal uptime.
"Linoma Software has been selling its encryption and secure data transfer products to government entities for a long time," Luebbe said. "This GSA contract gives agencies the ability to meet Presidential and Sequester guidelines to reduce costs by streamlining processes and automating workloads."To help promote its new GSA contract, Linoma Software will be exhibiting at Booth 716 at the FOSE Government Technology Conference May 14-16, 2013, in Washington D.C.
"We look forward to talking with government IT professionals who face data security challenges," said Brian Pick, Linoma Sales and Marketing Director. "We'd like to learn more about their needs, and share ways we can help them simplify, automate and secure their data transfers."
