System i Developer today announces the official launch of i Community Blogs, a multi-blogger forum for IBM i developers to learn about and discuss technology enhancements, tips and opinions. The forum features blogs from five prominent personalities, including IBM i Business Architect Tim Rowe, QA speaker/author/consultant Von Enselman, and IBM i development experts Jon Paris, Susan Gantner and Paul Tuohy.

According to Jon Paris, Tim Rowe inspired the idea for a community blog site. As the business architect for application development on IBM i, Rowe had been blogging about IBM i enhancements regularly in his Modern-i-zation blog.

"When Tim asked if we would host his blog, it was a no-brainer for us," says Paris. "He blogs about what his team is working on, where i development is going, so we saw it as a direct extension of our mission to educate and inspire the IBM i development community to embrace new ways of working. And it was the perfect opportunity to add our own voices to his."

Paris, Gantner and Tuohy will use their blogs to disseminate tips and technical articles, and to express their opinions on development practices and trends.

Enselman's iThusiasm blog will focus on testing and QA as a function of the development process.

i Community Blogs can be found at https://systemideveloper.com/blogs. To follow your favorite bloggers, click on a blogger's name, and select the "Follow" button.
