In an effort to help System i users investigate application modernization, LANSA will hold a one-hour Webcast Wednesday, May 9. This Webcast, "Explore the Future of System i Application Modernization," will focus on topics that companies should learn more about before they embark on this journey.

Hosted by David Brault, LANSA product marketing manager, the Webcast will also feature a short presentation by Mark Anderson, vice president of Information Services at DEMCO, a direct marketer/distributor of supplies, furniture, and equipment to libraries and schools throughout the United States and Europe.

DEMCO began to modernize its ERP system last year using RAMP from LANSA, a unique application modernization tool for the System i platform. Anderson will explain the company's reasons for modernizing their core systems, which systems are being modernized and provide several visual examples of how DEMCO's team of seven developers has improved system usability. He also will provide guidance on how to determine a realistic modernization schedule and project expectations.

The Webcast will begin at 1:00 p.m. CST; registration is available at www.lansaramp.com/events. For more information about RAMP from LANSA, please visit www.lansaramp.com, or take the RAMP Challenge at www.rampchallenge.com
