JDA Software Group, Inc. has chosen Quadrant Software as the preferred provider of Electronic Document Management solutions for JDA Merchandise Management System (MMS). JDA MMS is the preferred choice for retailers that demand reliable, streamlined implementations at a lower cost, according to the company. Quadrant Software's complete paperless process management (PPM) solution, IntelliChief, is a leading solution for the IBM Power Systems platform. IntelliChief works together with Quadrant Software's document creation and delivery products, FastFax for enterprise faxing, and Formtastic for electronic forms and laser checks generation.
Integrating JDA's next-generation Merchandise Management solution with IntelliChief will enable JDA users to eliminate paper, filing cabinets, and associated costs including the handling of physical paper, which now will be automated via IntelliChief. Users will now have the ability to capture, process and retrieve documents in a few clicks. "We are excited to add another strategic alliance to our portfolio of partners", says Gary Langton, CEO and co-founder of Quadrant Software. "As more companies using JDA's MMS application began to look for ways to leverage their investment in MMS by reducing operational costs, they consistently found IntelliChief to be part of their internal push to become paperless. It only made sense for the two companies to join forces and formalize that relationship to deliver a tightly integrated document handling solution for the benefit of our mutual customers. We are thrilled to be selected as a best-of-breed solution provider by JDA."
Interest in IntelliChief can be explained by current market conditions according to Chris Koziol, JDA's chief operating officer.
"For retailers, cost savings are all that can be done to weather the current economic crisis," Koziol said. "Our integration with Quadrant Software's electronic document management solution now gives every JDA MMS user the tools to 'go green' by eliminating paper usage, as well as have a positive impact on their bottom lines."
The new interface for paperless process management (PPM) will be available to all JDA MMS users running version 7.5, and the strategic alliance between Quadrant Software and JDA enables complete integration of paperless processing and automated workflow functions (IntelliChief). Prior release levels will be retro-fitted by Quadrant Software.
Experiencing the Epitome of Efficiency
By adding IntelliChief, JDA MMS users now have the ability to create, capture, manage, retrieve, deliver and archive mission-critical documents such as purchase orders, order acknowledgements, bills of lading, receivers and invoices all in an electronic format, completely automating the entire procure-to-pay or order-to-cash processes.
With the new integration, JDA MMS users will obtain significant cost savings and process improvements that will help produce the following results:
- Superior control and visibility of documents being routed for approval and application of complex business rules for escalation procedures ensuring timely processing
- Leverage vendor early payment terms and avoid late fees on lagging invoice payments awaiting approval
- Availability of interrelated order history documents online without having to physically search for them in multiple locations
- Faster order processing via electronic capture and distribution of incoming orders
- Ability to easily and quickly comply with auditor requests and Sarbanes-Oxley mandates
- Reduction in the number of administrators required to process documents within the purchase-to-pay and order-to-cash cycles
