Jennifer Phillips heads new leadership, will focus attention on forming committees to re-invigorate organization.
The iManifest, a group of IBM partners, ISVs, and customers designed to promote the IBM i operating system, is seeking volunteers to join forces to help re-invigorate the organization.
Volunteers are needed for a number of different committees that are being established including membership, reach, technology, marketing, and finance/admin/legal. iManifest’s Steering Committee met at COMMON to discuss next steps for developing the much needed structure that the organization requires to make an impact. The meeting consisted of Jeff Olen from Olen Business Consulting, Mike Pavlak from Zend, and newly appointed Jennifer Phillips from Quadrant Software. Dr. Frank Soltis, the architect of the System/38 and AS/400, was unable to attend, but plays an active role on the iManifest Board of Directors.
“We already have a strong foundation for moving forward. We have the support of Dr. Frank Soltis, many IBM i vendors have contributed to the organization, and there’s no lack of enthusiasm for the platform. What we need now are individuals to step up to join our cause to promote the IBM i,” explained Jeff Olen, Olen Business Consulting.
The success of the iManifest depends on having a strong point person to help facilitate all of the moving parts. We are pleased to announce that Jennifer Phillips has agreed to continue former leader, Jennifer Halverson’s, tremendous efforts. “It’s crucial to establish structure and focus within the organization before anything else. Next steps for the group are to establish a mission statement and actionable goals which will happen quickly, likely within the next couple of weeks,” comments Jennifer Phillips, Marketing Director, Quadrant Software. “The passion for the platform is infectious and I’m confident with the help of the community we can achieve great things!”
