Help/Systems and Island Pacific Renew Partnership

Island Pacific, a division of 3Q Holdings, Ltd. announced that it has renewed its partnership with Help/Systems, one of the world's leaders in automated operations and business intelligence for the IBM Power Systems (System i).

Island Pacific currently markets a software solution to users of their Merchandising suite that allows them to more easily access data in their database using SEQUEL, Help/Systems' business intelligence software. Users can purchase this software offering called Island Pacific Viewpoint through Island Pacific with the assistance of Help/Systems' support and services representatives.

In addition to marketing the Viewpoint product, Island Pacific and Help/Systems jointly participate in Web-based educational seminars and in each other's user conferences.

Richard Gaetano, chief operating officer of Island Pacific said, "The Help/Systems SEQUEL product is not just another query and data reporting product, but a robust application that our users rely on to accomplish all their data access requirements. In addition, SEQUEL offers them a way to automate processes and be more innovative in their use of the tools through the executive dashboards and additions to our core system. It is an exceptional product."

Help/Systems and Island Pacific are also in discussions to extend the relationship to include the Robot Automated Operations Solution, a modular suite of software products that automates a wide spectrum of IBM Power Systems operations functions, including job scheduling, system backup and recovery, report management, message management, and much more.

Tom Huntington, Help/Systems' vice president of Technical Services, said, "We look forward to hopefully bringing automated operations to Island Pacific customers and are excited about the opportunity to offer them more ways to make their lives easier. Of course, they'll also have access to Help/Systems' world-class technical support and education services."
