Application enables attendees to access conference information on mobile devices.

The Democratic Governors Association (DGA) designated software company GeneXus USA as its exclusive technology partner and deployed a mobile application enabling the 2011 Midwest Regional Policy Conference attendees to access information on their iPhone, iPad, Android and BlackBerry smart devices.

GeneXus USA was on hand at the event to provide guidance to Governors and attendees on ways they can take their political campaigns to mobile devices and as a result reach more constituents than ever before.

"Today's political campaigns will benefit from lessons learned during President Obama's 2008 campaign," said GeneXus USA CEO Dane Drotts. "To be effective, engage voters and convey core messages, winning campaigns must embrace social media and mobile computing as part of their strategy. This is why GeneXus USA is a strategic partner to the DGA. GeneXus software enables mobile apps to be built and launched exponentially faster, which has a tremendously positive impact on a campaign's effectiveness."

The GeneXus Smart Device Generator allows software developers to build an application once, and automatically generate the code for any platform and technology. It enables applications to be developed up to 10 times faster and maintained up to 20 times faster, according to the company.

"Mobile applications like this from GeneXus are advantageous not only for [the]… policy conference, but also for the future of campaigning as politicians communicate, build financial support, and provide constituents with the insight they need to make informed decisions," said Colm O'Comartun, executive director of the DGA. "New technologies, including mobile apps, will continue to revolutionize political campaigning for years to come."

GeneXus' free DGA application was available for download to the iPhone, iPad, Android, and Blackberry and allowed conference attendees to:
