The submission deadline for the 2007 System i Innovation Awards sponsored by IBM and COMMON has been extended through March 9.
The awards were established to recognize companies and individuals who have found innovative ways to deliver business value using the System i. Any System i customer is eligible for nomination.
"IBM and COMMON wanted to create an annual program to recognize those leaders who are consistently striving to unleash innovation and deliver greater business value and cutting-edge solutions," said Mark Shearer, IBM System i general manager.
The awards will recognize outstanding achievement in the following six categories: solutions innovation, business resiliency, infrastructure simplification, i5/OS focus, education excellence, and community support.
A committee of representatives from both organizations will select the award recipients. Each winner will receive an engraved Tiffany crystal award, a complimentary one-year membership in COMMON, a complimentary registration to the 2008 IT Executive Conference, and five complimentary registrations to COMMON's 2008 Annual Conference and Expo. Each of the award finalists will receive two complimentary one-day passes to the 2007 Annual Conference.
The finalists and winners will be honored during a special event at COMMON's 2007 Annual Conference & Expo in Anaheim, California. For more information about the conference, visit http://www.common.org/conference.html.
