COMMON's 2010 Annual Meeting and Exposition will celebrate the user group's 50th anniversary May 2-6, 2010, in Orlando, Fla., spotlighting both the longevity of the midrange platform as well as the evolution of the COMMON users group into the leading voice for the Power Systems community. The 50th Anniversary Meeting and Exposition will take place at the Hilton Orlando, COMMON's first trip back to Orlando since 2005.
"The 2010 meeting is a momentous occasion for the COMMON family. It will build on the success of past meetings and provide a special setting to reflect on our emergence as a market force for change with the products that have revolutionized the capabilities of so many businesses," said COMMON President Randy Dufault.
In anticipation of the 2010 meeting, the 2009 Annual Meeting and Exposition will take place in Reno, Nev., April 26 - 30.
The Annual Meeting and Exposition is COMMON's largest educational event of the year and features five full days of IBM i, AIX, and Linux education, workshops, labs and networking opportunities for attendees.
"Our Annual Meetings and Expositions have earned the reputation as premier events because they offer unmatched educational and networking opportunities for attendees," Dufault said. "At last year's annual meeting in Nashville, IBM launched the Power Systems line to a standing room only crowd and I am excited to see what this year's meeting will bring."
As the world's largest Power Systems exposition, the meeting will feature more than 80 of the industry's leading solution providers, offering the latest up-to-the minute information and ideas for the IT industry. The Annual Meeting and Exposition offers new ways to reduce costs and improve productivity, and the opportunity to join the premier network of Power Systems users. Registration for the Reno event has already started.
