Long-time ASNA customer Retail Assist, headquartered in Nottingham, England, was recently awarded two major Awards. ASNA salutes Retail Assist for winning these awards and thanks them for using ASNA Monarch to help them build improved software.

Long-time ASNA customer Retail Assist was recently awarded 'Company of the Year' at the Nottingham Post Business Awards 2013. Retail Assist, along with its customer Jacques Vert, was also awarded 'Supply Chain Excellence' at the Retail Week Technology Awards. Our warmest congratulations go out to the team at Retail Assist and to Jacques Vert for winning these awards.

Several years ago, Retail Assist chose ASNA Monarch to modernize its supply chain solution, "Merret". Merret is an end-to-end supply chain solution that covers all aspects of stock control, retail supply, and business information. Merret is in use throughout the UK, other parts of Europe, Australia, Malaysia, and Singapore.

Says ASNA's CEO, Carlos Valero, "We are very proud of the team at Retail Assist. Retail Assist has worked very hard for many years to make Merret the superb multichannel retailing software solution that it is. While the honor and credit for these two most recent awards belongs solely to Retail Assist, ASNA is very pleased to have played a small part in helping make the Merret application all that it is today."

Retail Assist used ASNA Monarch to migrate parts of Merret from the IBM i to .NET. This provided Merret with a modern browser-based user interface and also enables Retail Assist to offer either an IBM i-based version of Merret or a .NET-based version. You can read more about Retail Assist's use of ASNA Monarch here.

Retail Assist CEO - Merret, Nigel Illingworth, says "The involvement of ASNA was an important element of the Merret core language development, and was key to the current success of Merret. We are delighted with the recent award win, and of the multichannel and global trading capabilities Merret is now enabling for retailers such as Jacques Vert, Nutmeg at Morrisons, ASOS, Whistles and many more."
