Operations Director and Co-Founder of Original Software George Wilson recently presented the benefits of assisted manual testing at the TestExpo conference in London.
One of the company's newest solutions, TestDrive-Assist, helps testers reduce their manual testing efforts by up to 80 percent. This well-received presentation is now a podcast, available at no charge at Original Software Events.
This podcast is Original Software's first. Scott Addington, Original Software's head of marketing, sees the new medium as an effective, convenient, and expedient way to convey knowledge in an industry where skills must be continually nurtured.
According to Addington, "People seem to know little about the tangible upside of test automation. Most companies still rely on manual software quality-control procedures. We are planning a series of audiovisual items that will help educate people. In April, we made our podcast selection page available to a small group of customers, and the response was overwhelmingly positive."

Requiring only minimal training, TestDrive-Assist is an ideal entry-level product for those testers who may not yet need full automation but want some way of capturing their work and findings to improve their time-to-market.
