Vormittag Associates, Inc. (VAI), an IBM Premier Business Partner and a leader in enterprise solutions for a variety of distribution, manufacturing, retail and service clients worldwide, has announced enhancements to its S2K Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software suite with the release of version 3.7.6.
S2K 3.7.6 release includes a number of enhancements, which offer the following features and benefits:
Streamlined Distribution Capabilities. The new version features an enhanced suggested purchasing application to improve the consolidated purchasing capabilities of the software. Upon receipt of goods, the system now suggests automatic transfers based on the recommended distribution quantities for each location. This new capability streamlines the distribution process and ensures the accuracy of shipments. Additional changes to S2K’s Warehouse Management System (WMS) module provide greater functionality for cycle counting, bin replenishments, voice picking, and warehouse transfers.
Improved Manufacturing Functions. Notably, VAI has enhanced the user screens to provide more information and ease of use. In addition, time allocation within shop-floor data collection allows better tracking of employee production time for more accurate job costing.
Retail POS Advances. For retail customers, S2K 3.7.6 includes a standard interface to VAI’s new point-of-sale (POS) back-up software, SalesLinx POS. SalesLinx POS resides on a local Windows-based server at each retail location and data automatically replicates from the main server to the local server on a scheduled basis. This Windows-based solution allows stores to continue processing sales transactions in the event of communication failure or server downtime. This powerful, integrated solution can help retail clients improve customer service and increase the bottom line. Additional features include check franking and debit card processing through VAI’s standard VeriFone interface.
