Increased functionality and redesigned user interface are key to maximizing efficiency in global information exchange.
LANSA has announced V6.5 of LANSA Data Sync Direct, the most widely installed ERP and Master Data Management (MDM) integrated, 1SYNC certified solution, supporting item alignment via GS1 standards and the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN). The new release includes significant increases in functionality and a totally redesigned user interface, providing maximum productivity for companies exchanging information via the GDSN.
V6.5 also provides users with the option of using a traditional Web browser interface or a new, enhanced interface with a richer, easier-to-navigate user experience. The basic format of the new interface more clearly organizes all application work with business processes and the objects and actions that support those processes. A user can easily select to execute specific tasks by clicking on a specific menu object and can switch between business processes with a single click, as needed, to compare record listings and details. This presentation format has proven to be the most productive and is considered an industry standard.
The improved interface also includes search panels that provide comprehensive search controls to enable detailed record selection. Search results can be sorted for optimum use, allowing users to work with multiple records for maximum productivity. The enhanced interface provides easy integration with Microsoft Office and allows for effortless report presentation in Excel or PDF formats.
The new release also allows users to export records assembled as “Search results” into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or PDF document. Optionally, export templates can be created by any user and shared with other application users. The template can formalize the report presentation to help identify record exports that are repeatedly requested.
"V6.5 represents LANSA’s commitment to listening to the most experienced and demanding users with respect to the detailed functionality they want and need to do their jobs in the most efficient manner,” said Jeff Holzman, LANSA’s director of Solution Product Sales. “After eight years of heavy use, both LANSA and our customers know much more about how companies interact in supporting the exchange of GS1 standards-based Item/Product information via the GDSN. Customers provided us with specific information about the way they wanted to view the data and maneuver through the application. We listened and delivered a totally redesigned interface and navigation to meet their needs. V6.5 represents a significant investment by LANSA in improving what is already the market leading, 1SYNC certified, GS1 Item Alignment solution."
