Linoma Software is proud to announce that its GoAnywhere Managed File Transfer (MFT) solution has been validated to run on IBM System p and System z platforms..

Linoma worked with IBM through a special program, named Chiphopper for the validation testing of GoAnywhere. Through the Chiphopper program, IBM provided Linoma’s engineers with the equipment, software, and technical resources that were needed for this project. As a result, Linoma was able to verify that GoAnywhere operates on Linux and AIX operating systems for the IBM System p platform, as well as Linux on the System z (mainframe) platform without any adverse effects to functionality or performance. 

GoAnywhere is a J2EE application and has been widely used by customers across a spectrum of platforms, including IBM System i, Windows and Linux on Intel. “We were fairly confident that GoAnywhere would run on IBM’s Linux and AIX environments, since GoAnywhere was designed from the ground-up as an OS-neutral solution. Now that we have IBM’s Chiphopper mark, our GoAnywhere MFT solution can be marketed to an even broader base of customers,” says Bob Luebbe, chief architect for Linoma Software. 

With GoAnywhere, customers can connect to the database and file systems on their IBM servers and other systems for retrieving, transforming, encrypting, compressing and distributing data through a managed environment.
