Hosting company pegged fourth in the world for outstanding cloud performance.

Connectria Hosting, a global managed hosting provider, has announced that it was ranked second in the North American market and fourth globally in cloud computing performance (over a 30-day period view) as measured by the Global Provider View on CloudSleuth. The results were current as of February 23.

Sponsored by Compuware, the technology performance company, CloudSleuth is the industry’s only partner-driven cloud performance community that fosters a collaborative exchange of strategies, best practices and resources for deploying and managing applications in the cloud.  Connectria recently joined CloudSleuth in order to leverage its growing partner community. As part of its alliance with CloudSleuth, Connectria began participating in the Global Provider View, a free cloud monitoring service that objectively benchmarks page delivery performance and availability metrics of popular public cloud providers.

The Global Provider View application uses the Compuware Gomez Performance Network (GPN) to measure the performance of an identical sample application running on multiple cloud service providers. The application continuously measures vendor page delivery performance from more than 35 Internet backbone nodes across the globe. For anyone considering a cloud vendor, the Global Provider View provides near real-time vendor performance comparisons on a regional and global basis.

“We’re delighted to be part of the CloudSleuth community, and see the exceptional performance of our Cloud Computing Solutions validated," said Scott Azzolina, Connectria vice president of Marketing. "Our performance metrics derived by the Global Provider View demonstrate what Connectria’s cloud customers have known all along: that in addition to a superb value, Connectria’s Cloud Computing Solutions provide superior performance on a consistent basis.  This is not only evidenced by our North American Cloud Computing solutions, but also by those who enjoy Connectria’s Cloud Computing solutions in Europe, South America, Asia, Australia, the Middle East, and around the globe.”
