PlanetJ Releases WOWFusion Charts Reporting and Dashboard Tool

PlanetJ, the developer of Web Object Wizard (WOW) has announced the release of its newest product, WOWFusion Charts, a flash-based Web reporting and executive dashboard tool.

Organizations using WOWFusion Charts can expect to immediately provide essential business information to all users in a sophisticated and dynamic graphing format, the company says.

WOW itself is an award-winning rapid application development tool and runtime engine that allows users the ability to easily access data stored in any relational database to create dynamic Web applications.

By using WOW with WOWFusion Charts, developers can utilize platform independence, multi-system searching, data-driven dashboards, and a graphical user interface in developing Web applications and charts against a DB2/400, MySQL, SEQUEL, Oracle or any other JDBC compliant database.

WOWFusion Charts also features powerful multi-level security, graphical drill downs, automatic updates, and inserts and deletes. WOWFusion Charts has been tested by current WOW customers in beta and is now available to the general System i community.

The new product integrates seamlessly with WOW applications to create slick dynamic dashboards and other visual presentations of data that will undoubtedly "WOW" users, the company says. With WOWFusion Charts, there are no bulky Active-X objects loading into memory that put a strain on the server.

Along with WOW, WOWFusion Charts automatically will keep itself updated with the latest data sources in the database. WOWFusion Charts offers a plethora of customization options like setting transparency, color themes, hotspots, hover captions, and more. The file size of the component is very small and is suitable for narrow-band connections.

WOW itself is platform independent and runs on top of WebSphere Application Server or Apache Tomcat and does not require the use of a proprietary language to write applications. WOW has a short learning curve for any programmer and provides a rapid development environment for developers at any skill level. In using WOW, existing programming staff can expect to save 100-400 times normal development cycle and have the extendibility and flexibility needed to handle any specific business logic.
