Bob Swift

Bob Swift started programming in 1981 at IBM in Toronto , where he worked on S/38 office products. Later, Bob held a variety of management and architecture positions supporting cross-platform products in the areas of office applications, compilers, and communications. In 1991, he accepted an assignment from the system design control group in the IBM Rochester development lab. At the end of the assignment in January of 1995, Bob decided to stay in Rochester and joined Lakeview Technology (since merged with Vision Solutions) as an architect for Vision's IBM i high availability solution, MIMIX HA. For the majority of the last 13 years, Bob has held key manager, director, and architect roles in the evolution of MIMIX. For an eight-month period in 2000, Bob took a temporary assignment as director of OmniReplicator (now Vision Replicate1) development in Waltham, Massachusetts , to help with the creation of Vision Replicate1 V4. Currently, Bob works on strategic product initiatives as an advisory architect at Vision Solutions.
