Formtastic’s new integration with Nexus Portal enables users to access their documents from a secure web portal on desktops and mobile devices.

Quadrant Software, LLC., a leading provider of IBM i modernization, business intelligence and document distribution tools, has announced a new integration between Formtastic, their spool file beautification and automated distribution solution, and  Nexus Portal, their full-featured IBM i-hosted web portal that gives users secure, organized access to enterprise information.

Web-Based Document Access
The Formtastic-Nexus integration enables employees, customers and/or partners to easily find and access their Formtastic documents, such as POs, invoices and order acknowledgements, directly from their browser in a mobile-friendly interface.

“We listened to the market and saw a need in many IBM i shops where employees were spending time digging through filing cabinets and customer service reps were fielding calls about previously sent documents,” says Stephen Woodard, CEO of Quadrant Software. “This solution will help organizations save time, reduce printing costs and improve customer service.”

Users can quickly find their documents via an easy-to-navigate interface using menus, filters and datepickers. Documents are automatically archived and indexed based on parameters from the file, such as type, customer name, dates, or any other custom parameter.

 IBM i Reliability and Security
Everything exists on IBM i: the web portal, the server, and the documents (documents can optionally be stored on other servers). Permission-based security is built in to ensure that users can only view
their documents.

Mobile Friendly
Documents can be accessed from desktops or any mobile device. The web portal integration features responsive design elements, ensuring that users can easily navigate the portal from their PCs, laptop, tablet or smartphones.

Quick Implementation and No Coding Required
The portal can be deployed very quickly – typically within hours.  It can also be created and maintained without any coding. This includes creating web pages, users and groups, and adding additional search filters.
