Kisco Information Systems announces the immediate availability of Release 13.12
of their WebReport/i software. With this release, WebReport/i can convert
reports from spool files on the IBM i platform to a variety of popular formats and
then post them to Dropbox, for any Dropbox account ID that has been defined to
the software. Using this new feature in WebReport/i, customers can convert
reports into PDF, RTF, TXT or XLS format and share them over the web through
Dropbox. This includes placing files in any folder at Dropbox. Sharing of the
reports is controlled through settings in Dropbox. This feature augments the
support already available in WebReport/i to share reports via Google Drive.
Also included in the new release, WebReport/i supports the Excel XLSX file
format for report conversion to Excel. This allows larger reports to be processed
than was previously available. The new support also allows customers to ignore
report footer lines during Excel conversion processing.
When converting reports and sending via email as attachments, WebReport/i
Release 13.12 includes an option to compress the attachment. The compression
is created using standard “Zip” formatting. This allows smaller attachments so
that larger reports can be sent to email destinations that have restrictive
attachment size restrictions.
WebReport/i still contains its built-in Report Intranet hosted using the IBM i
Apache server. The Report Intranet has been enhanced to allow authorized
users to delete reports from their Intranet display when they are no longer
needed.
WebReport/i PDF, is priced at $1,995.00 for a single partition installation on the
IBM i family of systems. IBM i OS levels from 6.1 through 7.3 are supported. For
companies with several systems, Kisco offers multiple-license discounts. Kisco
Information Systems also offers a free 30-day evaluation of the product that can
be downloaded with complete software documentation from www.kisco.com. To
