ParAccel, Inc., provider of the ParAccel Analytic Database, a high-speed, low-effort, columnar database management system, has announced it has moved into new San Diego, Calif., offices to accommodate the company's rapid growth.

Its new San Diego facilities will feature a state-of-the-art customer benchmark and briefing center to accommodate an increasing demand for proofs of concept (POC) and corporate due diligence visits. In the past year, ParAccel has doubled its workforce as it continues to expand in both San Diego and Cupertino, Calif.

The company also announced that Bill Russell, an industry veteran with deep operations experience, has joined the company's board of directors. Russell spent more than 20 years with Hewlett Packard Corp. in a variety of executive roles including vice president and general manager of HP's Global Alliances, Software Solutions and Enterprise Systems Organizations. Russell has served as a director on the boards of a number of enterprise software companies since he retired from Hewlett-Packard in 2003. He currently serves on the boards of Global 360, KXEN and PROS Holdings (NYSE:PRO). He has served in a variety of roles on both public and private technology company boards and previously served on the boards of webMethods, Cognos and Sylantro Systems Corporation.

"ParAccel has a stellar management team in place and is ideally positioned to deliver what organizations are seeking, especially in these tougher economic times," said Russell. "The columnar ParAccel Analytic Database, with its load-and-go simplicity and ability to run on standard hardware, directly addresses a large and important market for extremely high performing analytic solutions that are robust, simple and affordable. I am excited to join the ParAccel board and look forward to helping further the company's considerable successes."

"We are eager to expand our San Diego presence and are pleased to welcome Bill Russell to our already talent-rich board of directors," said David Ehrlich, ParAccel president and CEO. "Our new offices and benchmarking center will enable us to better showcase our products and meet increasing POC demand from our growing customer and prospect base. We are actively delivering on our promise to build the world's fastest and most efficient platform for analytic queries that will bring to organizations of all sizes exceptional business value and demonstrable return on investment," Ehrlich said. "As we enter 2009, we are ideally positioned to capitalize on the considerable market opportunity that awaits us."

ParAccel's new offices are located at One Pacific Heights, 9920 Pacific Heights Blvd., Suite 450, San Diego, CA 92121.
